Chicken Crust Pizza...The Chicken IS the crust!

 



If you are looking for a low-carb, low-sugar alternative to pizza that still tastes like the delicious pizza you love, this is the recipe!

This recipe has been cobbled together from a few TikTok videos and a few food recipe blogs. The big turnoff from the TikTok videos was the use of canned chicken as the crust. Yuck!

The recipe below came from the blog Wholesome Yum.


Ingredients:

  • 3/4 lb. shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 2 eggs

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
  • Prepare the pizza dough pan (Grangie & I use 9" pie pans)
  • Stir together the shredded chicken, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and sea salt.
  • Whisk the eggs lightly, then add in. Mix well.
  • Spread the chicken crust pizza “dough” onto the prepared pizza pan
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until firm and golden on the edges.
  • Let the crust rest for 10 minutes, which helps “seal” it.
  • Add sauce and toppings. Return to the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted. If desired, place under a broiler for a couple of minutes to brown the cheese more.
